Known issue November 2025: accessing Educake from Spain (resolved)

Some Spanish schools are currently unable to reach our site, my.educake.co.uk, because several Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Spain have recently begun blocking access to parts of Cloudflare’s network. Our site is delivered via Cloudflare, which provides caching, security, and performance services.

Cloudflare hosts many unrelated websites on shared IP address ranges. When Spanish ISPs block those IP ranges – originally meant to target illegal sports-streaming sites – many legitimate services, including Educake's, are affected unintentionally. This means that although our servers and Cloudflare are operating normally, connections from affected Spanish networks cannot reach Cloudflare’s edge servers.

From the user's perspective, this looks like:

• The site failing to load or timing out

• “This site can’t be reached” or similar browser messages

• Normal access from networks outside Spain

The issue lies with the ISP-level blocking, not with your local network or our platform.

If your school is affected, please contact your Internet Service Provider for advice.

We are in contact with Cloudflare to try and get this issue resolved and are also working on a solution which will bypass Cloudflare. Please contact us on support@educake.co.uk if you have any questions about this.
