What are the details of the student revision contest?

The promoter is Educake Ltd, Company no. 07839821, whose registered office is at Educake, Tyndale House, 134 Cowley Road, Oxford, OX4 1JH.

 

The competition is open to students at schools who are current customers of Educake, except employees of Educake and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. It is open only to students at schools located in the United Kingdom.

 

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

 

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via our email sent on 13th October 2025.

 

Closing date for entry will be midnight 9th November 2025. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

 

No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

 

The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: Students log in to Educake and answer at least 10 self-set questions each week within the competition period. For every week that they answer 10 questions, they will receive one entry into the prize draw (up to a maximum of four). The overall accuracy of these answers must be at least 30% to qualify. A self-set question is one set using the "Revision wizard" or "Study and quiz yourself" areas within Educake.

 

Students who meet the above criteria will be entered into a prize draw, and the winners will be selected at random. The recipients of the gold, silver and bronze prizes will be determined based on how many qualifying questions were answered by each of the three winners.

 

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

 

The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

 

The prizes are as follows:

 

Gold prize: the first prize draw winner will receive a Lenovo Chromebook. The Head of Department for the subject in which the winning student set the majority of their qualifying questions will receive a subject-specific prize pack worth at least £100 and enough miniature chocolates to be shared among the students in the winner's class.

 

Silver prize: the second prize draw winner will receive an Amazon Fire HD tablet. The Head of Department for the subject in which the winning student set the majority of their qualifying questions will receive a subject-specific prize pack worth at least £75 and enough miniature chocolates to be shared among the students in the winner's class.

Bronze prize: the third prize draw winner will receive a £50 One4all voucher valid for redemption at various retailers. The Head of Department for the subject in which the winning student set the majority of their qualifying questions will receive a subject-specific prize pack worth at least £50 and enough miniature chocolates to be shared among the students in the winner's class.

 

The prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

 

Winners will be chosen through a random prize draw and the prize determined based on the number of qualifying questions answered by each winning student. A single school may only win once.

 

Each winning student’s Head of Department will be notified by email on 12th November 2025. The identity of the winning student will be shared with the Head of Department, and the prizes will be sent to the Head of Department via post so that they can be given to the student in school. Educake will not communicate directly with the winning students except under arrangement with the school. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

 

The promoter will confirm with the winner where the prize will be delivered.

The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

 

The winner agrees to the name of his/her school being used as publicity material by the promoter. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

 

The names of the winning schools will be available 28 days after closing date by emailing the following address: support@educake.co.uk.

 

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
